A list of websites to post information for Ad. work

We all want to make it somehow. Whether it's working for a photography company, an advertising firm, or simply just by freelancing throughout the world. However, it can be hard to advertise your work for other people to put out. So why not advertise it?
There several outlets and social media sites to promote and advertise your work! It's simple, easy to set up, and most of them are FREE.

FACEBOOK is a great way to set up PAGES to advertise your work. You can easily gain 'likes' in the process and put posts about up and coming projects, as well as photo opportunities for others who would like to be part of your work!

TWITTER as we all know, is practically 'the Seinfeld' of the blogsphere. So, why not say a few witty words to advertise your what your business. In 140 characters or less, TWITTER is a great outlet for those short crafted words to simply keep everyone in the know.

TUMBLR has slowly been climbing the charts in the world of blogging. It's probably the easiest way to advertise your business and work by the simplest form possible. Everything from 'gaining followers, to scheduling posts, TUMBLR will become your best friend. What's even better? You can LINK your Twitter & Facebook to your Tumblr postings. Pretty neat, huh?

Last, by certainly not least, BLOGSPOT is a great and fun way to post blogs and advertise about anything and everything you'd like. There are simple tools to help you publish everything you want on just a single post. Everything from hyperlinks, to image and video postings, to text editing. It's right there at your finger tips and takes no time at all.

Beyond the Print.

A motion of Jimmy.

For this assignment, I went beyond the normal photographic print and decided to compile multiple photographs into a motion 'gif'. It's fairly simple to create online, but when it comes to taking the photographs, you have to sit the camera very still and take multiple photos of the same setting at the same time. The person, however, can move around in different positions, thus making the motion gif possible. These photos were a compilation of 6 all together.

SO FAR. . .

Below are the latest images I have completed towards my final project. Currently, I am deciding if all of my photographs should be a complete black & white series or continue with the switch out of color and black & white. I am also thinking about changing the title of the project from 'The Things We Love the Most', to 'The Things We Treasure the Most'.

Below are the latest 5 to the addition:

(Re shoot) Tyler - Mother's Valentines day card

Jeremy - Photo of his Dad at the age of 17.

Chelsey - Guitar

Evan - Macbook

Nicole - Holga Camera

Digital Manipulation.

For this assignment, I had to  you must create 3 digitally manipulated images from original photographs that I had taken. You will notice, however, that two of them are in the use of "Filters" from Photoshop.  I do apologize because this was very time consuming. However, I feel that the effects that the filters were used on were well put and interesting to see in a different  way.  All were taken in Pittsburgh during a sunny Sunday morning into early afternoon.

ASSIGNMENT 1: COPYCAT

COPYCAT photograph.
Used a selection tool to make the bottom half completely dark, while increasing the brightness, contrast, and clarity to the top. I also used an orange filter as well to allow the orange to come out more in the background.

ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH.
The sunset at Sunset Gecko, Lombak

Market deli food (ORIGINAL)

Market deli Food (COPYCAT)
I aligned the jars into place while using some depth of field. I adjusted the photograph with some clarity and added more color to the jars to make them stand out a little bit more.

Welcome.

Welcome to my blog. Above is a photograph I took of a Brazil Martial Arts team on the walking grounds of Schenley Plaza in Pittsburgh, P.A.  They put on an amazing performance and did an excellent job for everyone to see. I personally am amazed at local talent and skills.  Profiling art and people always puts a smile on my face and gives me inspiration to learn more about people.
